The Thinking Body-The Feeling Mind®

The Thinking Body-The Feeling Mind® offers clients and students training in essential principals of body movement based on body/mind integration. It is useful for those interested in a serious physical workout, movement meditation, or a means to evolve physically, emotionally and spiritually. It is a wonderful tool to resolve injury, deter surgery or minimize movement limitations. It has been used to provide optimum human performance and possibility for dancers, performers and those seeking to maximize personal health and well-being. It has proved useful and applicable to enhancing all body movement techniques: Hatha Yoga, postmodern dance, sitting meditation, running, exercise with gym equipment, free weights and hiking. Lack has shaped the technique to reveal universal truths about the human body, alignment, movement, and breath. Many people are involved in the technique for the simple joy and freedom that a conscious body/mind dialogue can create.

We are open to everyone; from beginners through highly trained athletes, dancers, actors, and teachers, whether 5 years or 85 years of age. Each student will be met at their own level of skill and comfort. We welcome and appreciate a diversity of body types, life-styles and ages. The studio is a comfortable non-competitive environment where high quality training takes place.

Group Classes encompass exercise, breathing, and meditation techniques with an emphasis on body movement. Issues addressed are tension, stress management, physical and mental control, strength, flexibility, body awareness and energy integration.
